I grew up in Auckland on the Manukau Harbour at Papakura and the Hauraki Gulf at Takapuna. After getting a PhD in applied physics from Stanford I lived in Palo Alto and Menlo Park on the San Francisco peninsula. I am currently based in Paignton Devon, overlooking Torbay.
